Height changes in various countries

Americans have not grown up in the past 50 years. Studies have shown that the higher the number of people, the more money they earn. The better the social welfare, the easier it is for the people of the country to grow taller.

An article in Spanish "Fun" magazine entitled "Why do we want to grow taller again" believes that for a country, the meaning of height per capita far exceeds the digital level, and the change in height per capita reflects the level of social development. Therefore, the United Nations uses the indicator of height to measure the development of countries. Experts believe that the height index is even more reflective of the living standards of a country's people than traditional per capita income.
According to the latest data from Eurostat, the Netherlands is the country with the highest average height in the world, with an average of 1.84 meters for men and 1.71 meters for women. In contrast, in southern Europe, the average height of citizens is slightly shorter, but it also exceeds the world average. Today's Spanish men average 1.75 meters and women average 1.62 meters, an increase of 3.5 centimeters from 1987, similar to the situation in other European countries.

Many studies have shown that the per capita height of European countries rises by 1.5 cm every 10 years. At present, children are 4 cm higher than their parents. Analysis shows that today's children are more burly, strong, and face bigger than people decades ago.
